The tree shows the straight line ancestry from the current oldest known BITERLICH to my youngest son.
The Biterlich family can be traced back to 1811 Poland and the magnificently named Nicholas Edward De Biterlich who escaped Russian held Poland in 1836 to come to England as part of the “Great Emigration” of the political and cultural elite of that country. Nicholas was undoubtedly one of the latter, trading as a pianoforte maker once he’d settled in London.
